Celebrating our 2026 Great Taste Awards

We’re delighted to share some very exciting news: Equi’s Ice Cream has received 10 Great Taste stars across six flavours, making 2026 our 11th consecutive year of recognition from the Guild of Fine Food.

The Great Taste Awards are judged by more than 500 food and drink experts, including chefs, buyers, retailers and food writers, making this recognition especially meaningful to everyone on the Equi’s team.

Meet Our Award-Winning Flavours

This year, six Equi’s flavours were recognised:

  • Pistachio Swirl: 2 stars
  • Strawberry: 2 stars
  • Crème Brûlée: 2 stars
  • Amaretto Bakewell: 2 stars
  • Blackcurrant & Cassis Sorbet: 1 star
  • Liquorice & Mascarpone Gelato: 1 star

Award-Winning Ice Cream to Enjoy at Home

Two of our two-star winners, are already available for customers to enjoy at home – find your nearest local stockist here.

Our Pistachio Swirl can be found in 460ml tubs at major retailers including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Co-op, Scotmid, Morrisons and selected One O One stores. Strawberry is available in 120ml tubs from selected One O One and Asda Convenience stores. You can also enjoy both flavours in Equi’s parlours across Scotland.

The Great Taste judges described Pistachio Swirl as an exceptionally well-executed ice cream that captures the true pistachio flavour beautifully. Strawberry was praised for its natural taste, smooth finish and creamy, indulgent texture
