Is your local favourite the same as the rest of Scotland?
To celebrate National Ice Cream Day, we looked at sales from more than 500 Equi’s stockists across Scotland to discover each region’s favourite ice cream flavour. (Don’t worry, we gave everyone else a chance by leaving our best-selling Double Cream Madagascan Vanilla out of the running!)
The result? A map that’s as full of character as Scotland itself.

A Scoop of Scotland
From the Highlands to the Borders, every region has its own flavour personality.
Raspberry Ripple scooped the top spot across much of the country, proving that some classics never go out of style. Scottish Tablet remains a firm favourite in the south, while Edinburgh has developed a taste for Pistachio Swirl.
Then there are the regions doing their own thing. The Outer Hebrides opted for Sea Salt & Caramel, Orkney chose Belgian Chocolate, and Shetland crowned Oreo Cookies ‘n’ Cream as its number one flavour.
It’s a reminder that while we’re all proud Scots, our taste in ice cream is wonderfully different.
