We’ve got some pretty sweet news to share…

Equi’s Ice Cream has just had its most successful year since 2019, picking up a whopping 11 stars at the 2025 Great Taste Awards – including a coveted 3-star award for our Hazelnut Brittle. It’s our first 3-star win since 2017, and we’re absolutely thrilled!

The Great Taste Awards are often called the Oscars of the food world – judged by more than 500 chefs, buyers, writers, and food experts who seriously know their stuff. So to have our Hazelnut Brittle ranked in the top 1.5% of over 14,000 entries? That’s pretty special.

Here’s the full lineup of our 2025 award-winning flavours:

🥈 Pistachio Swirl – 2 stars
🥈 Pistachio & Sicilian Orange – 2 stars
⭐ Double Cream Vanilla – 1 star
⭐ Strawberry Cheesecake – 1 star
⭐ Pistachio & Balsamic Fig – 1 star
⭐ Parma Custard & Vanilla Croquant – 1 star

Our CEO, David Equi, summed it up perfectly:

“To receive 11 stars this year, our best result since 2019, is a proud moment for the whole team, but the 3-star award for our Hazelnut Brittle is the real cherry on top. It’s the kind of recognition that reflects our relentless pursuit of flavour and craftsmanship.”

The judges didn’t hold back either, calling Hazelnut Brittle:

“A delicious gelato packed with crunchy nut brittle pieces, delivering an outstanding toasted hazelnut flavour.”

“Wonderfully silky and smooth, with a gorgeous, rich, roasted nut flavour… A really special gelato that is skilfully made.”

We’ve now been recognised at the Great Taste Awards for 10 consecutive years, and this latest win brings our total to 80 stars. Not that we’re counting (okay, we definitely are).
